Gray Eagle Descent
What would you think of descending 2800 feet over 15 miles of merciless granite track while traversing alpine meadows, forests, and lakes? Would you like to ride some gnarly singletrack in a setting of great natural splendor? Then you'll enjoy the Gray Eagle Descent.
This ride is made up of sections of various trails starting up on Packers Saddle and winding its way down through picturesque alpine lake country to the base of the mountains outside the town of Gray Eagle.
The majority of the ride is on singletrack. Some of it is brutal. Other parts are just plain rough. Don't break anything on bike or body and its all good cross-country fun! Hey, did you really need more reasons to ride Downieveille? No, but here's one more fine adventure to add to the list.
